Gardening Pictures
The following pictures are from my old house and my new house. We were at my old house for 8 years. We inherited a mess, inside and out. We pretty much tilled and ripped out everything, put new grass seed down, and reshaped the flower beds. Over the years, the beds grew and I kept tweaking and moving things. I weeped to leave a lot of my flowers when we moved. Especially since I inherited another weed pit in my new house. But truly, what wets a gardener’s whistle more than new blank slate of dirt? I have just started, so I have years to go. But I have already made some strides, as you can see.

My Urban Sanctuary
My garden is 2 1/2 years old. Urban gardening is gaining in popularity. It is like having a place of calm and color in a sea of pavement and buildings. The cool thing about our garden is the KOI pond we inherited fron the owners. It was run down, but we have revived it and we have 5 pet koi in the pond. We will probably have to rebuild it in the future on account of a tree that the previous owners included with the pond. Take a look around and enjoy.

This is looking out from my back porch. The lawn was newly seeded a few years ago. |

Bed by the house. My prize possesion is my peach rose bush. It is nestled in Baby's Breath, Dianthus, Lavendar, Gladiolus, Spurge, Astilbe, among others. |

Front Garden is all shade, where a cobblestone patio holds a seating area and giant hostas, wild geraniums, and huge shade Irises line the front porch bed. Great for wine on hot summer evenings! |
