Peas with Ham
This side is an old stand-by, adapted from my mom. I added some sliced deli ham to give it a little sass.
Ingredients:
1 bag frozen peas
olive oil to cover bottom
of pan
1 medium onion, chopped
salt and pepper
1/3 cup parsley
1/3 cup chopped ham
Directions:
Heat oil in a medium saucepan, and cook onion until soft. Add frozen peas, and partially cover. Cook for five minutes. Add the parsley, salt, pepper, and ham, stir, and cook until peas are tender.
