As many gardeners, I start with a plan. And change as I go depending on what I find at the nursery. You need to be flexible and innovative as you garden. Just because you put it on paper in the spring, doesn’t mean it’s the right plant once you put it in. Also, many times, I pull something unique out of my many garden books only to find that it is nearly impossible to find anywhere close to my house. So I need to always have a plan B and a plan C. This is what I have planned right now in my beds.
